Housework

Girl in yellow sunglasses holding cleaning products

Hey everyone,

I am new to all this blog stuff but i thought it would be nice to get advice and connect with other mummies out there.

What do you mummies struggle with the most?

I find HOUSEWORK is basically impossible! I have 3 children under 5 years of age and I am constantly cleaning , cooking or doing the dishes and never have time to even sit down with my babies!

I have recently found another mummy’s cleaning schedule and its only the fifth day on this now but wow this has already helped me out so much and feel I have more time with my babies!

I mean my house is still not perfect and I don’t think it will be for a long time yet but its as clean as it can be with 3 wild children around.

I just thought as this wonderful mummy shared her cleaning schedule it really helped me and that’s what I would like to do to help others who are struggling, So if any of you mummies are struggling like i did then get yourself a cleaning schedule stick it on the fridge with your daily tasks and just one big task every day and stick to it!

This has changed my life just by having a schedule and being organised rather than walking around each room thinking what to do first. If anyone else has any other tips they have for keeping on top of the housework i would love to hear them!
Thanksss

i like to make to do lists each day – nothing too long as i end up feeling like a failure if i don’t manage to tick them all off.

Housework is something every mum struggles with even when stories on instagram show the perfect house with 3 kids dont forget most people only show the good things (Which makes it worse for mummies). Enjoy the mess in the house while they are little when they are in school is your time again time to make that house sparkle!

I actually dont think there is any magic trick to this really, I think all of us mums out there struggle with housework we just need to remember it wont be like this forever as soon as the kids go off to school will be when the house is sparkling again.

I Found this post today and what an amazing day to read this blog! HOUSEWORK. It is currently 9pm my house is a mess and my two kids ( 18months and 3 years old) have just fallen asleep. I have broken glass all of the kitchen floor from a pan lid that has smashed, dishes still from lunch time and dinner and a living room that has crumbs and toys EVERYWHERE. What I would do for a cleaner to come in and help me get this place back to normal. The hardest thing about it is knowing I am going to clean it all tonight then straight to sleep and within a few hours of the kids waking up its going to be exactly the same again. How do you mummys have the energy to clean the house knowing its just going to get trashed again. Someone please send a cleaner to my house!
